He didn't ask about a w203 pulley, he asked about a 03+ 1.8 pulley, also in the 230k model. And yes, you can. Kleemann doesnt seem to have one, but you can get a powerchip from evosport thats good for +18hp and +19 lb ft of torque (according to them). Renntech does make an 1.8 pulley system but their stuff seems to be overpriced. Don't sweat the 'general', he was ...trying...to be helpful.

The 1.8 supercharger can very easily be changed for a smaller pulley, just in 18 months no one seems to have done it. Just shaving a mm off the OD would help.

Not for the supercharger. There may be ones for the crankshaft.

You 03 guys are pathetic. Lee @ASP has been asking for someone to do testing for him for months now. No one will help.

Lame.

Actually, that makes it a CL203....

I think it is Carlsson and Renntech that currently have pullies for the '03+, I might be wrong, but I also believe it is the SC pulley, not the crank pulley, that is changed for the '03+

I said W203 because of the forum its in. But it just as well could be a Coupe or Sportswagon instead of a Sedan.

Hi, this is my first post on this forum. I recently purchased a 04' c230 coupe.

I was under the impression that the 1.8L engine could not be pullyed, because out of the factory it was already running about 11 psi of boost. It seems to me that anything more than this would probably cause the supercharger to turn into one big heat pump, which wouldnt be good at all.

The SC is good to 14-15 psi. So ASP is working on a smaller pulley for the SC which hopefully someone can lend Lee there car for a week to test and get the right size. People have suggested a 10% reduction would be good for 1-2 psi more. So hopefully like 10-15 hp and 10-15 ft-lbs as well. I would be happy with that for a few hundred bucks. I just do not live anywhere near Texas and I really do not want to pull my pulley to ship it down there, since then I would be the one testing and would need to ship back for adjustments.

C180 Kompressor does have pulley kit. Carlsson have it, CK18.
You can look at their website for the kit.

He has the C230 not C180, same engine but diferent levels of boost. There is a RennTech kit available for 2200 for the crank pulley and one or two others, plus ECU upgrade and Exhaust and Intake. Look at the other W203 Forum in the Engine Performance section for the information on it. Supposed gains of 20Hp and 20 Ft-lbs. roughly, can't remember exact figures.

Sorry if the topic has been discussed over and over again. From where I am (Sydney), I have been told that there are no engine mods available for the 1.8L C200K.

My local tuner told me that theres a kit for both C180K and C230K Coupebut not the c200K sedan.

I looked at the Carlsson site and found a kit for the 1.8L engine that would give 144kw at the engine.

It's hard to get my hands on any tuning parts here

My apologies for asking dumb questions
