windows and fob

I could not open or close the windows with the fob. How do I know whether the car is programmed for the feature or not

what does your owners manual say? My 2005 C240 works fine. Do you see the sensor by the drivers door handle? Do you keep the unlock button pressed while aiming at the sensor for 5 to 10 seconds?

The IR sensor in the door handle can go bad after a while. If you search enough on this forum you can find a DIY to repair. Mine has gone from intermittent to completely stopped working over the years now. It was a cool feature when it worked.

Have you tried "teaching" your windows their position? Press open and once is completely open keep button pressed for about 5 more secs. Same for close. Do this for all windows (and sunroof if you have). If still not working here's a straightforward tutorial on Youtube.
It worked for me.
