Hello all,
New member here, and yes I used the "search" forum but didn't help as much as I wanted(I'm so needy)
Anyways I have a 2002 c320 Sportswagon that I bought for $900 with right at 157k on it and 6500 miles until service B needs to be performed. Well I think to myself, "self you got yourself a good deal" PO says she went and bought a 2017 S-class and didn't need it anymore(2017 s-class was present).
Anyways I've been driving it for about 2 months, first month I had a issue with the ESP light and BAS light coming on. Took two trips down to ATL before I had a chance to look it over and found the YAW sensor had been unplugged in the rear hatch area. Well that being plugged in had fixed the lights, then a month later only the BAS light came on. So I take it and spend $135 to get the thing diagnosed at my local MB and they said it was caused by a faulty brake light switch, so I had them replace it with a genuine MB part and it worked amazing, for 4 days. Take it back to MB and they said well it could be faulty wiring.. anyone have this much issue out of the brake light switch? My brakes are good I have looked them over and the rotors are not bad either.. thoughts?

Get an icarsoft i980 and stop making trips to the dealer for diagnostics. When the dealer does a diagnostic they just pull a code and replace whatever part is associated with that code. Often times failures like this are intermittent faults (bad connection, bad wiring etc) that only show up once in a while. Your switch could be perfectly fine and the failure could be anywhere along the wiring to that switch.
