01 c320 not starting
So this is my first post on this forum. I have been a long time lurker though. Before I start I want to say that I have searched for this issues extensively and I have not found a solution that worked for my case or the thread died before an the issue was resolved.
Car is an 01 C320 with 120k on it.
About 2-3 weeks ago the engine just cut off when I was driving. After a few attempts to start the car, it finally started but it would only go into limp mode. After a few more tries, the car was back to normal. Searched around and determine that my plugs, wire and fuel filter needed to be replaced, they were due any ways. Replaced the plugs and wires with oem 1st and the car started up but was really rough then the engine died. So i replaced the filter but that did not fix anything. Next I replaced the fuel pump, that didn't help, then the fuel leveling unit, then the fuel pump relay. Everything that i have done doesn't help at all. I rented the fuel pressure gauge from autozone I have no fuel pressure at the valve. Is there something that i am missing.
Thanks

We had a similar issue on my dads C320 and it turned out to be the MAF sensor. You can test this by unpluging the MAF sensor and trying to start the car. The car should then go onto the base map of the ECU and be able to start and run. I wouldn't drive around like this but it will indicate if the MAF might be the cause.

I keep an extra cps sensor in the car and I have already swapped that out but there was no difference. Originally when I had the first misfire i pulled the codes p0301, p0170, p0173. When I searched around all the threads pointed to the wire and plugs needing to be replaced. I replaced those because they were due. Now there are no cel codes being thrown up.

I tried your suggestion about pulling the maf sensor and starting the car but that didnt work.
Not sure what else can be causing the problem on whys there is no fuel pressure.
