I also have a 2006 C230 sport. I'm in the process of replacing the balance shaft. If your's is an auto, 722
The access to the TC bolts is in two places. With tranny in the car, remove the black plastic cover on the bottom of the bell housing. With the tranny out of the car, remove the tan or beige colored plastic cover at the two o'clock position on the bell housing.
There are six bolts total, arranged in pairs of two. You will need a T55 torx to remove them.
You can shift the tranny into neutral to rotate the TC by simply moving the shift lever into neutral from underneath.
