2005 C230 Kompressor
No sound
i have a 2005 C230K. No sound comes from the speakers.
i checked for the amp and there is not one. BUT I have also checked the other [2 ] 2005 C230k i own and also NO AMP but they DO have sound (no amp in all three cars).
please help. What can I do?

Is the unit ON and display active? IS there no sound in any mode? am, fm, cd?
When did the sound stop? All of a sudden?
If the unit is dead, no lights then look for the fuse!
If the unit lights up but still no sound under any conditions, it is something major in common with all 4 speakers. Either the power amp IC or something else internally.. Very difficult to fix unless you have electronics experience.

I bougt the car with no sound. The salesman said that he thinks that the previous owner removed the amp due to an aftermarket head unit. The car didn't look like it had any work done with the center stack. Since buying it, i have removed the center stack, checked the power to the deck, the fuse box, and all the wiring from the passenger side of under the dash to the back of the car. Its getting power, the fuses are good, and wiring looked untouched. only place ledt is behind the dash.
