ABS/ESP Fault C1114 Right front speed sensor SOLVED!
The ABS lamp light up in the dashboard, so I used a fault code reader to see what the fault was and its says : C1114 L6/2 (Right front speed sensor)
Fine no problem I went out and got a new abs sensor, change it and cleared the OBD code.
I went for a drive and the abs light came on again
I read the OBD fault code again and the same code showed up: C1114 L6/2 (Right front speed sensor). The it must be the ABS ring.
I found out that it don’t look like a normal ABS ring, but more like a Shaft Seal.
Mercedes Part number : A 203 330 00 60
Hers sum pictures how it look like and were it is.
Wheel off
From other side of the disc brake
Old ABS Ring

So you unbolted the hub, replaced the seal...and that's it?
I just bought the iCarsoft Mercedes and it's telling me I had a fault in the right rear sensor, though no
ESP or anything on the dash, so I'm expecting I may do this soon.

We found the disk guard to be very badly corroded and the guard part which covers the ABS sensor where it protrudes through the housing
fell away in my hand. It is possible that this in fact was the cause of the trouble. £12 for the ABS ring/seal and £25 for a new disc guard from
a Merc dealer has the lights out and the ABS is working well again. The job looks good too! Shall be doing the port side when the rain stops?

Thanks for posting all this info - it solved my problem today. The brake disc backing plate had rusted really badly and blistered onto the abs ring.
New backing plate and new abs ring and problem solved. All came apart really easily - even the bolts holding on the backing plate.
Disappointing that an independent had changed the ring just over a year ago...
Thanks again.
