Replacement Parktronic front display for CLC
I have decided to fix an annoying (but not essential) problem on my 2010 CLC.
The backlight bulbs on the front Parktronic display have packed up. The LCD itself is working fine, and so is the audible alert, but the display is dark. Initially only on one side of the display, but now all of it is dark.
I thought I could take it apart and replace the bulbs, but upon inspection, I found that they are in fact LED's hardwired into the back of the display.
So I bought a replacement display on eBay for £18 from a breakers. But when I plug it in, it starts beeping continuously and flashing the LCD display (with the backlight on).
So my question is, does the replacement display need resetting or calibrating in some way, or have I bought a broken replacement?
Thanks

You're going to have to ask in a European/ROW forum.
Parktronic, QuickPark and the CLC were never offered in the USA where most of the forum members here reside.
Good luck.
Get a scan and see if you need either a new part from the dealer...or MBenzNL.
You can replace/move around surface mounted LEDs with a tweezers style soldering iron...
