I'm reading this thread and many of you remind me of myself before! I kept putting it off because I thought the grille was too expensive (and it IS), but eventually I couldn't help it anymore and just bit the bullet. I don't regret it one bit now that I have it though.

Oh and r00zy, the install on this thing is kinda flimsy. I'm gonna custom make a screw hole on top with the use of some KB Kwik and L brackets. I'll post pics later when it's done.

yes I do not like the flat style star (autoblz.com), currently I have the ebay grill, just waiting on the prices of the good stuff to drop a little.

The ebay grills have no backing behind the star, if you look at the good stuff, they are kinda like the CLKs, where the star has a thick black piece of plastic behind each of the 3 "fins"

The flat style star (from autoblz.com), which is totally flat with no 3 dimensionality to it looks a little cheesy IMO.

It all rests with how the http://www.formymercedes.com/ grill will look when it comes out I suppose!

its NOT going to be the ones like oggles. If you want that one you have to spent about 500-600 large.

I may be wrong! This is how it looks on the E class on formymercedes.com. If it looks exactly like this for the C Class Ill buy it its only 250 as well!

Only drawback is that it has 5 slats instead of 4, making the star look smaller.

Just for comparison look at the Slats although different cars you get the idea

btw the one on the C class is 600 and the one on the E class is 250.

here is the comparison i was trying to make. The E class has 5 slats the C class has 4. The real CL grill on the SL, 209 CLK and CL are the ones that look like on the C class.
