Group buy: CL-style hollow star grill!?

I want the same one you guys have because after import taxes this car is going to cost me $44,800 without financing interest so I'm not going to skimp on a few hundred bucks and get something that looks cheap.
Can you tell me if there's any place I can find it right now ? Evosport has no search engine and the webpage sucks and I can't find it & Oberklasse has it listed at $795.00. I've been hearing from you guys saying $500 to $600. Where ?

Ok, so I guess it all comes down to there are really only 2 real good grills out there :
1- Oggle & Lorinser's : MHDezent "CL type" listed at $795.00
2- The one from formymercedes.com. Even though they have 2 different ones, the "Prestige" for $229.00 is the one I just saw this morning on a neighbor's car and it looks great ! Since I haven't seen the MHDezent, I wouldn't dare to compare and I suppose it should be better but at a 247% higher price difference, I'm going to buy the "Prestige" that looks very nice.

I just spoke with my neighbor and he told me he bought it at Performanceproducts.com and that it's called the Sport Grille (C-Class) at $269.00 !!! It might be the same one as formymercedes.com sells. I'm going to ask him to look for his reciept before I order mine and in the meantime I'll email Porformance to find out the name of theirs to see if it's the same as the formymercedes one.
I'm sorry for the confusion. His wife went out in the car so I couldn't get a picture of it, but I saw it this morning and it looks great.
With regards to what Blake P said, you bought it and took it off but it wasn't because it wasn't a nice product. You said you "... switched back to stock because the "cool factor" of having a star in my grille wore off...". That's OK so if it might happen to me too, then I'd rather it happen with a $269 grill than with a $795 grill.

Is this the Expression/MHDezent Grill ? If not, is this the star the Expression/MHDezent Grill uses ? I think this is from an actual CL, but I'm not sure. It was sent to me by a friend that thinks I'm going crazy with this issue and wants to help me before I jump from the helicopter !!

I copied your picture and tried to expand it but I still couldn't get a clear look at your star.
OK so 1st picture is out also ?
We need to find one that has the type of "ribs" or "slats" of the 1st picture and uses the hollow star like in the 2nd picture ?

How about setting up a group buy with evosport? I know its a little bit more, but hopefully they can cut us a deal instead of waiting for formymercedes.com. If they're still producing it, and no one owns one yet, how do we know the quality of it. We at least know the Expression grill is good, cause LorinserCClass, Oogle has it on their car. I've had bad experiences with cutting corners so I'd feel more comforable getting the Expression Grille.
