haha sorry guys for bumping up and old *** thread...just was reminiscing w/Ben(silverlorinserC)about our cars and I remember this photoshoot....memories *wipes tears* Dudes my car was pretty bad *** even before I did the last makeover haha!

We were planning on doing night roof top shots but we never got a chance to I guess....As far as my new car, still haven't done a damn thing on it so I refuse to post pix lol. Ben on the other hand has a SEMI modded new SUV and a modded bike-he's baller

YUP! Funny thing is I got Ben's DTM kit after his accident lol-for cheap too!
Simple paint job. I think they sand and paint. It does chip after regular driving though due to rocks/etc

I think it depends on what you are going for. I know there are some companies that sell grilles on ebay that are already painted, but I don't know how reliable they are. It would be cheaper to have your grille painted by a good body shop. If you want to go the "cheapest" route, depending on what kind of look you are going for, you can buy paint from autozone yourself and do it yourself.
Just remember though, when you paint it yourself, unless you sand down the chrome, you have to get a paint that will stick. There's always a choice between flat black and regular black. If I had a black or white car, I'd probably have a shop do black chrome (very nice looking and not as flashy as regular chrome).

Not trying to go the cheapest way. Trying to go with the way that will stand up over time. I was wondering if the ebay and sponsors grilles are paint or molded in the flat black, ever actually seen one?
I actually like the 05 grille better than the other already painted one. The dealer wants 187 for a new grille that I can take to a good body shop. I would expect to pay about the same for the paint. My car is obsidian so I would probably do the flat black. Definitely not going to do it myself.
LorinserCClass- you had the best wheels on a C in my opinion. Great choice in both chrome or polish and then the black was funky and ahead of the times. You see the black all over now. Wish I could of found a deal on them HREs when I bought my wheels.

As for LorinserCClass' rims, you do realize that before he sold his car he had custom black centers on those HRE's...LOL. And my rims are custom color matched, which I haven't seen anybody on the C Class forum do.

Thanks man. Seems you kinda know a bit of history of the car =) We really tried to experiment back in the day-BrabusCClass, silverlorinserC, MBPhreak, BrabusC, jonji, sinyo1, Pudgy, AMGRider, SilvaC32(wow getting all nostalgic here)and everyone kinda pushed each other to out do one another, lots of truly OG ideas were generated that are nowadays pretty common place among W203 modders.

Picked the hood up last night from Johnny. It won't get painted for awhile, I may throw it on just to change things up.
