C200K creaking noise


Anyone ever have this problem? C200K Left hand drive. Repetitive creaking noise coming from behind this filter. only on start up. Cycles for a minute or so then stops. Fresh air / recirc flap is working normally. It is behind that. It's not the foot well steppers either. They are also fine.

C200K





Noise seems to be coming from behind (in front of actually) glove compartment. Not accessible from behind radio. Diagram shows flap motors in this area. Note my car is right hand drive so everything is on the other side to diagram. Anyone know how to get in there?
