Seatbelt retraction

Who else is having a problem with seatbelts that don't retract all the way causing the door to shut on the buckle? I'm seeing lots of comments but no fixes posted. Any ideas about the possible fix yet? I'm about to take it in but I'd like a little forarming with a solution to expidite the whole deal.

I haven't had this experience, nor I have I seen lots of comments about it. Take it to the dealer, it is covered by warranty.

I haven't checked the warranty section - is there a lifetime warranty on all safety equipment, or at least the seatbelts?

I know that on my 90 crx, I can go back to any Honda dealer with seatbelt problems forever. I know of several people going back to dealerships recently and getting new retractors installed as part of this warranty.

Now, if anyone says, "RTFM!", I'll give you one of these:

There's no legal requirement that I know of that requires them to continue to support safety related equipment after warranty expires.

Seatbelts and smog control(except cat conv) are warrantteed for the life of the car in most states, they must function properly. You can take a '72 Pinto with worn out safety threads (those stiches that snap on a hard impact near the ends of the belt) on it seatbelts in to Ford for a replacement! If your dog eats the belt thats a different story.
