Mouse house

As I was replacing my idler pulley and tensioner pulley along with the serpentine belt because of low rpm noise when under load (which solved the problem) I noticed lots of fluff coming out of the snorkel hose and inside the airbox. After I finished my repair I took off the cover and found what was an attempted nest. The photos only show about half of the fluff as the other came out when I detached the snorkel

Craziness. Is that all from just the engine air filter?

They imported the fluff from somewhere else, the filter was completely intact. Smart or darling mouse to enter this dark and long tube from above the rad and follow the path. Will have to get some sort of screening at the opening of the snorkel. I was wondering why my car seem to lack a bit of power over the past while, I was attributing it to age
