Looking for some help. I recently purchased a 2008 C300 for my daughter and it has been in the shop almost since the day I purchased it. First, the LCD screen had to be replaced, then after we had the car for about a week my daughter washed it and the speakers started popping and one speaker stop working completely and the SRS code came on the dash. I took it back to the dealership and they fixed the issues. They actually changed the amplifier. A week or so later we drove the car through the car wash and the speakers started popping load again (even with the radio turned off). The dealership was unable to repeat the problem so I picked it back up. A week later the car left us stranded, the steering lock control failed and had to be replaced (car will not start). A few weeks later the car was washed again and the speakers started the popping sound again and the brakes lights stayed on. I returned it to the dealership and they can not figure out what is causing the problem. It seems water is getting to the amplifier somehow, and is causing electrical connections to short out. Has anyone else experienced any thing like this?
