Check Coolant Level on 2005 Mercedes C200K Australia
My wife drives 2005 Mercedes Benz C200 Kompressor 1.8 Petrol Supercharged.
Message popped up in the dash board saying " Coolant - Check Level"
After inspecting we found that engine coolant was leaking and also, the cap was open which I don't remember was opened last time during service.
Is this purely due to loose cap or actually there is a bigger problem ?

Top up the coolant and close the lid. See if the problem goes away.
With that said, your car has hit the magic 12 year mark. That's when the plastic pipes on the M271 engine (that's what you have) seem to all go bad at the same time. I would recommend replacing all 4 plastic pipes. See this thread.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to update you on the issue.
It was resolved by getting the part from Mercedes Benz (Berwick, Victoria). They also suggested to use the new coolant (1.5 Litres for $40 aud)
The light came up again after refilling due to circulations, coolant levels must have changed. Error is now fixed. Thanks for your help
