over miles for service A

to be honest i dont know what they will say if your responsible or not but i would get service A done and not inform them about the tranny problem.. 2 weeks after service A was completed i would call them and inform them youve been having a tranny problem since service A was completed... this way it looks like it wouldnt be your fault because you did not have the problem before service A was completed..

Except for when they do a little roadtest to warm up the oil and notice the tranny problem.

Any dealer with half a brain will know that an A-service has nothing to do with a transmission problem. Why not just bring the car in for the A-service, and tell them there's a transmission problem? If it's under warranty, they'll fix it. If it's not under warranty, they'll ask if you want to pay to fix it, or you can just decline the repairs. No need to be deceiving.
