Glow plug light remains lit??
Hi all,
My second ever post on here, but different topic. I have a 2001 C220 CDI, which i love to bits.
However i have noticed now it is getting colder that the glow plug light remains lit on the dashboard. The car is not telling me any errors are found either.
The only thing i have done to the car since i bought it about 3 weeks ago was to clean the EGR valve out as well as very carefully fixing black death issue on the 4th cyl. 2 days or soaking with brake cleaner and WD40 to then remove all the gunk so that i could safely remove the injector. i fitted a new washer and injector bolt from Mercedes (£1.70 iin total, very impressed). fitted it all back fired up first time and not had any issues with it since. Only that the light remains on, on the dashboard. Oh i have also noticed that when i travel into town 20km, the engine hardly warms up at all, once i am in the city traffic it warms up find, so i am looking to get a new thermostat fitted to it.
Please can someone advise me on my glow plug light remaining lit on the dash board though?
