Adding a cell phone to a C240
Hello,
I just bought my first Mercedes Benz (2001 C240). It appears to have all the connections and mic for a cell phone, but no cell phone was in the car when I bought it. Is there any way to add a cell phone to the car or connect my current Motorola?
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

The only phones that will work are teh Nokia 6310i Tri band GSM and the Motorola v60 MErcedes phone. The motorola has to purchased from benz. Do a search for this. It has been answered many times. check out www.mikbox.com as well.

I bought my phone off e-bay and got the cradle, bracket, connection kit and antenna amp from one of the old advertising sponsors....payed about half what the dealer charges.
The new cars come "pre-wired" but you still need the cradle, connection kit, amp and bracket...

All in all, it was pretty easy, but came with no instructions....the tough part was figuring out the fiber loop (since I have a coupe w/ teleaide and bose - the glass was there but not connected).
I had to take it to the dealer for final activation and they told me I could have used the shorter spare fiber....I used the long one and looped the excess with tape.
