2003 C230 Kompressor Sedan
If I have read correctly, your question is a little mis-leading. The change in the the warrenty is the elimination of the no-charge scheduled maintenance (oil, filter, etc.), not the length of the whole vehicle warrenty. I believe that is still 48 months/48000 miles.
The elimination of the no-charge oil changes should not be a determining factor in the decision to buy a car.
I do however, feel your pain. I bought a 2003 230K Sedan in July of 2003, about a week before the the 2004 was announced. Since then, there has also been a 2004.5 with the cross-drilled rotors, and now the 2005. So my car is now two model years old, and I have only had it 10 months.
