Is there any check engine light?
This sounds like the conductor plate issue (P0715) leaving you in limp mode, or it may be other sensor solenoids in the conductor plate.

I would definitely have a shop or someone with a Stars diagnostic tool to take a look. Off the shelf scanners won't be able to read any of the tranny codes.

Then your solenoids are bad. Both of them.
If you're a DIYer, you'll be able to do 90% of the work, and the rest, the dealer or someone with a Star's diagnostic tool will need to reset your transmission code, or else you will remain in limp mode.

There are plenty of DIY videos around youtube if you're so inclined to do the work yourself. You'll save a great amount of money in labor forsure.
Otherwise, it'll be a costly repair service at the shop.
