URGENT BUYING ADVICE - 2007 C230
Good afternoon,
Looking at a 2007 C230, 160K miles. 2nd owner, who had the car since 30K miles and can provide a solid maintenance history for the car from the local MB Dealer since he owned it. Asking Price is 5,500.00, he will let the car go for 4,800.00
Car looks clean, black on balck (hope to post pictures later) and appears to be well taken care of and clean.
Bluebook for this car in my area in GOOD condition, private party sale is 4,988.00 average.
What are your thoughts on this car? It will be the first driver for my daughter, how much life does it have left with 160K miles on the clock, but with a solid maintenance history? The Balance Shaft issue should not be a problem with a 2007, correct?

Seems like a lot of money for a budget C class with that many miles.
I just glanced on eBay and there's a 2007 C230 with 95k miles and the bid is only up to $2,225 with just under a day left on the auction.

I agree, the car has another 1 1/2 years left to hit the 200K mile mark, which is a lot in my mind at that point.
