Reset Service Indicator - W204 Series

I have a 2007 Mercedes C280, W204 model. When trying to clear the B service overdue notification and used the instructions in the manual it comes back with a message service incomplete. The message also now reads service overdue 999 days and below has +15000 kms

Thank you Shah when I serviced car the engine light was on. We disconnect the battery which it appears now needs replacing. On reconnecting finishing service we used the service due notice you supplied however it will not confirm service and gives message service not completed. This is the predicament I am in .

It worked for my son's W204 MY 2011 after I changed the oil and the filter.
Did the screen ask you to choose the oil grade 299.3 or 299.5?
After choosing the oil grade, it should reset.
I don't know why it does not work for you.

If your car is MY2001, it cannot be W204.
I would assume that it is pre-facelift W203, no?
