Forum colleagues - I welcome your assistance finding brake calipers bolt torque specs:
Car: 2006 MZB C230
FRONT brake torque settings for
a) Caliper bolts torque specs
b) Caliper mounting bracket bolts torque specs
REAR brake torque settings for
c) Caliper bolts torque specs
d) Caliper mounting bracket bolts bolts torque specs
I’m replacing my car brakes and will post this information along with brake job information for the benefit of all forum member. My local MZB dealer in San Francisco is unwilling to share this information.

if you are going to do this sort of stuff at least invest in a basic manual...

according to this hayes manual that I have:
caliper bolt is 18 ft-lbs
caliper mounting bracket front 85 rear 45
you must also clean out the threads and use locking compound. (lock tite blue) If you do not clean out the threads then the torque measurement is off.. I use tap and die.
note that the MB service docs say always use new caliper mounting bolts. Most DIYers seem not to.

What disks and pads are you using? One think is to replace the pins that hold the pads in. After years they may rust into place. well thats what happened with mine up in Montreal after 12 years. I had to drill one out.
I ended up replacing all 4 calipers with rebuilt. car needs to last a few more years of my kids driving to college...
BTW replacing the parking brake pads is a PITA.
