2007 C280 4Matic Spark Plugs
My owner's manual shows replacing spark plugs with "Bosch Platin Y 7 MPP 33" or NGK PLKR 6A. However, when I try to order these plugs both online and in person, I am told they are not compatible with my car? Any suggestions on why the misinformation?
Thank You.

who tells you that?
Note that the C class went from the M112 V6 to M272 engines in the 2006-2007 model year
The older M112 uses the Bosch F-8-DPP-33
The newer M272 uses the Bosch Platin Y 7 MPP 33
LOL I know.. I have a 2005 240 with the Bosch FR-8-DPP-33 and also an R350 with the 272 engine with Bosch Platin Y 7 MPP 33 plugs.
The YR-7-MPP-33 is a much longer plug than the F-8-DPP-33
are you sure you are providing the correct info? what engine do you have?
RM european gives the right one for your 2007 C280

BTW the OEM plugs are NOT resistor. Aftermarket only seems to have Resistor plugs available. so for yours it is the Platin YR-7-MPP-33 plugs.
(this has been rehashed many times... I ended up installing NGKs on my R350... long story , i purchases the wrong bosh plugs by mistake.. assuming they where the same as my C240 maybe I got caught in the same mess as you did, so i found the NGK locally by luck)

Thank you for the information. Some of the places I searched for spark plugs were Amazon, Ebay sellers: SixityAuto, NERC auto, plus some other auto supply companies online. I did, follow your advice and ordered NGK PLKR 6A plugs from sparkplugs.com. Thank you again for your help.

Okay my c280 4 matic is european model as found out by mfg tag and recent attempt to change a non existent fuel filter. My car has the fuel pump/filter version. I am now getting error codes 0120, 0123, 0301, 0302, 0304.....Is it possible that spark plugs are the issue? car has 187,000 miles on it. Throttlebody replaced, intake manifold replaced and MAF replaced. Missing at low rpm...
