i agree with FrankW on that. the customer has to choose what they want or not. when i boughbt my car i was told about the finance offers. i still bought a few things, not because i thought they were good deals or not, but because i chose to.

I beg to differ, at MB of Laguna Niguel I was politely asked if I wanted the extended warranty, no slight of hand was attempted that offered me a lower interest rate for a free warranty.

werd its called good business buel. Simple as that and you are talking about finance. Once marks closes the deal the customer then speaks to a finance advisor which has nothing to do with mark. I think you jumped the gun a bit there. In a sale, both sides want the best deal possible and as long as the customer is happy then thats all that matters and so far there havn't been one unhappy customer that has dealth with marcus.

I'm not saying that the finance person should not try and sell what he can, it's when they use unethical methods that I object too. For example, if they know that person qualifies for an 8 percent loan and then lie to them and tell them their interest is 10 percent and then come back and say that they will do them a favor, lower the interest rate to 8% if they buy something they really didn't want to begin with but it will be free since the lowered interest rate will pay for it.
It's not an issue of the dealer wanting the best deal, it's out an out fraud, a lie, stealing, dishonest, a con and any salesman that leads me into an knowingly fraudulant situation is no buddy of mine and certainly not a dealer I want to do business with. Now if Mark does not know what goes on in their finance dept that's another story.

Buell, you are def incorrect here.
Mark is one of the best when it comes to sales in a car dealership. I have never talked to a more honest, no bull salesperson! I wish he was here in boston, hehe.

I really appreciate all the kind words, but this thread has gotten side tracked a bit. We should be focusing on Code5chick's new car and not the bickering that has started. I agree with Buell on the fact that it is not good business if a Finance person tells you that he can lower your rate if you buy warranty, Lo-jack, etc.. What I DO NOT agree with is stating that I knowing led the sheep to slaughter! I have no control over what happens in that office after I have negotiated the best deal for the client and the dealership! That is why my title is Internet Manager, not Finance Manager. Lets put this to rest and focus on the real issue here, her new car that is great looking, BTW!!!
Hope everyone has a very enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!

hey! your new car is awesome!! I want one for my first car ...I'm just curious, does the new smooth aluminum trim in your car feel like metal??Because my dad was having his car serviced and when we went back to pick it up at the dealership, I looked at a CLK55 AMG which has the same aluminum trim as your car, and it just felt like plastic lol...but it has to be real because Mercedes wouldn't lie PS--what was your previous car?thanks! and again, your car is awesome

the first picture is what i'm looking for, it's the little thing on the side of the trunk lid. I guess I have the brand new trunk then. That's what they gave me after they replace the entire trunk lid.
nice cup-holder...looks much better than the previous one in 01-04.

congrats on your car! did the AMG body kit come stock?
my mom recently purchased a s500 from marcusbenz and he was very cool. and yes, the finance manager pissed the hell out of my dad but marc had nothing to do with that, he was showing me how to work the gagdets inside the car at that time.
is HOI service really that bad? i plan on ONLY using the service managers marc recommended.

We'll probaby double up on the payments or just pay it off in a couple of years. That will change the interest paid from $5,968.41 to $2,606.29, making the total cost of the car $36,318.12
