Anyone recently add 2004.5 oval tip to C320?

I had them weld the bottom piece directly to the exhaust and the top pieces to the OEM tips (you'll understand what I mean when you see the 04.5 tip and slide it over the existing tips). It also requires cutting the bent parts of the OEM tips, which took a couple of minutes, prior to welding the new tip. I doubt any shop would charge more than $100 for the whole install, but probably less.

As for the sways, I'm planning to get those done when I get the cupkit...probably a few months.
Thanks for the post Blake, It seems like a pretty easy procedure, i will order one tomarrow most likely. I just love that tip!

When you get the sways in a few months PM with the parts and part numbers needed. There have been several threads about it i know but, each time a new part seems to be added to the mix!

New wholesale price of the tip is $106.95 plus tax or shipping. So lets say $115. $35 would be an estimate of the cost for a welding shop to trim dual tips at curve and add new single oval tip.

$150-$165 max for the project....

Now the new question.........Is there a muffler with an oval tip that can be installed for the same price? THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE RICE SOUND OR LOOK?????????

I doubt it, but your best bet would be to call an exhaust shop and ask around.

I have and the main problem is what the sound will be. Most would make our cars sound CHEAP at that price.......

That was an insult Yes I called Caliber.
To get it at this price call Tom Hanson 1-800-252-6877 give him the part #209-492-02-14 and its $106.20 + CA tax if you live in state. + shipping.
Or you can just call Caliber retail parts and get it for $165

Tell him you are one of the people Andrew (who gave him the mbworld info) told him about that wanted the tip. He is cool

Question

I don't know about an AMG twin oval tip by itself.

ENGISOFT advertises an AMG C-Class oval twin rear silencer for $999.00.

I asked if it will fit the C320 COUPE, and they replied back:

" This is original AMG equipment manufacturer. It will fit your coupe. The system goes from the catalytic back."

So, I guess this is a whole exhaust system, with the cool chrome AMG twin oval tip.

I tried that other SCHATZ dual tip on my C320 COUPE, and sent it back because I would have had to modify my rear bumper valence.

An AMG rear bumper valance, which is built around this AMG exhaust system is advertised for ~ $620.

Any one have more info on C320 Coupe AMG exhaust, tips, and the like ?????

I got mine from Tom Hanson at Caliber Motors in Anahiem. His phone number is 1-800-252-6877. It should be around $100.
