2005 C240 4Matic front drivers side clunk/bounce sound when pulling into driveway....
Couple of questions. I am unable to find a replacement strut part number for my vehicle as I don't know if I have a sport suspension or not.
I replaced the sway bar link but I'm still getting a bumpy strange dong noise when entering a driveway coming from the front drivers side. In addition I decided to order a lower control arm but the arm I received was a single arm with a bushing on one end and a ball joint on the other. My c240 has a wishbone looking lower control arm with ball joint connection. It's shaped like a triangle with two bushing hookups on one end and lower balljoint on the other. There are no "single" upper and lower control arms... Confusing...
How do I determine whether or not my c240 has the sport suspension?
My vin # is WDBRF81JX5F650484.

4matic w203s have a completely different front suspension and brakes setup than all other w203s. Nothing is interchangable between the two. Any front suspension parts you have to specify that they are for a 4matic. While aftermarket parts for the w203 rwd are easy to find from many suppliers, there are very few options for the 4matic other than the dealer. 4matic struts are a dealer only part. I don't know of any other source for these.

hey again - did you go with an aftermarket lower control arm for your 4matic or get the MB OEM from dealer which are like $400?? I have to get mine replaced at 125k miles it looks like and best option I can find is autohauzAZ and this Delphi branded lower contol arm for $140 which isnt bad but not sure the quality of Delphi and dont want to replace hti s again in a few more years. thx
