Since the cupholder broke I have noticed a definate binding/squeaking sound from the front end. It sounds like a shock or spring may be rubbing. This is the first problem I have experienced. Its really bad when going over a speed bump or entering a driveway. Pretty much anywhere there is a good bit of travel for the suspension. And yes it does it when its hot too, so its not just warming up. Any Ideas.

Timmy, I think I had this kind of annoying squeak when the car was new... Now, after 2500+ miles, it's completely gone... I actually wasn't sure what was causing it, though. Hope yours gets taken care of soon and painlessly

It could be related to the collision that your car was in (it was smashed, right?).

Very often, there is collision damage that is not diagnosed at the time and only manifests itself some time afterwards. It certainly happened to a Renault 5 my Dad used to own 23 years ago. It was a great car before the accident, and occasionally a problematic car afterwards. The problems were trace-able back to the collision.

It has over 10K miles on it. It was smashed in the rear but I was pushed into another car doing about 10 mph. I just hope it isnt going to be this was forever since the wreck. Can you still try for the lemom law if the car has been wrecked. But at least I am getting $7500 for the loss of value for it, so I might just get another car.
