Fan problem - w203

HI

I am the owner of a mercedes C 200 Kompressor (2003) - 1.8 petrol

I have a problem with cooling fan... it is not swtich on and car is overheating.

I even tried a second hand one... but problem remained.. (maybe second one was faulty too)

Fan tries to start ... but dont go on.

Is there a way how the controller - it is supplied with 4 wire (2 thick and 2 thin)

The 2 thick have 12 + and other is negative as i tested them.

The other 2 thin wires - one have voltage on it and the other nothing!!!

Any idea how and how and what to test before buy a new one - which might not be the cause.

any place where find non original parts for this control unit and fan replacement?

thanks a lot
regards
Noel
