Is Command System location Specific?

Is Command System location Specific?
I know that there are CD sets for command for various locations. My question is, Is the command system locale specific, is the one from european models the same as North America?

Yes it is... the command in Europe usually gets a TV tuner and other minor features we dont get in the US of A.
It all has to do with DOT laws about not having anything in the driver's view to distract him/her.

let me explain... the TV system in Europe is PAL and we in the Americas use NTSC so the TV part wont work . However, everything else should work just fine with the possible other exception of AM radio (frequency difference thingie). The only thing the TV button would do is serve as a way of piping in some sort of Video signal for like DVD or some other video device.
