On a new beetle install and on edvpt's white C7 coupe. The stage 1 look very nice and I pretty much watched his new beetle install from start to finish. The light quality is very nice and the stage 1 color is identical to my ML factory HIDs.

are the lights yellowish at all? mine start very very white but gradually turn pale yellowish. i was told b/c of a 20-100 hour burn in period (it's in the manual)... they're getting better though and are no longer as yellow as they were in the beginning.

also, you mean edvpt doesn't have the panoramic roof?

Yes, his start white on both cars and turn a bit more yellow. The beetle lights are elipsoid, so they stayed much more white overall. I had the beetle follow me for a bit, very nice light coloring.

you really should have gone with the stage 2s, they look amazing, give you great visibility, and i love the warm up.

edvpt is very tall and wasn't sure he would fit with cloth and the roof...I think the leather seats with the C1 package may sit lower than standard cloth, as he cleared with nowhere near headroom problems in mine...I had someone 6'8" in the car today that fit fine and was very complimentary of the headroom and comfort.

The C1 package seems to offer greater range in seat adjustment to allow longer legs to fit the coupe. I'm 6'-4" and I fit ok in a coupe w/o C1, but find a good deal more room with the C1.

after my integra there was no way i could get a car without power seats.

i do wish they had the cooling fans from the SL/CL/E/S

i agree w/ you that they do look very good! and the no-break in period is instant gratification.

but, i didn't get stage 2 for 2 reasons: i don't think they work as well in inclement weather and they don't provide as much light as stage 1s (by 1/3 i read). but not too sure about that number...

once mine are burned-in, and they look more like what they do when i turn them on, i'll be very happy

i would love to see a picture of a stage 1 beside a stage 2. line them up side by side and take a picture of the light they throw off.

ah, it seems the meet has been pushed to the following week! mini meet in philly! whoo hoo! last time, it was just tommy and me. maybe we can upgrade the meet place from the burger king parking lot?

actually, i've been meaning to goto manhatten to see the WTC memorial and Prada. how about lunch there?

i have stage 1 hids, sorry. and i just found out that the WTC lights have been taken down... darn! oh well, just prada then!

if you're going to the meet, greg's car has the stage 2 hids so you can see those.
