have a 2004 c240 4matic wagon with 118k that I will be replacing both tie rods (thanks to Splinters uper diy write up below) due to lots of rattling going over bumps and when turning the car.

What other major front/rear suspension items are common to wear out and need replacement At 118k miles and improve a harsh ride?

Don’t need the ride to be perfect, but after the tie rods will See how the ride is and am contemplating replacing Shocks/springs, control arms, what else???
