M271 Squeak and Rattle on start up
Hi Everybody, it's my first post on the forum so excuse the lack of knowledge.
I have owned my 2007 C180 Kompressor since 2009, currently have 210,000km and have never had any real issues with it.
Over the past 20,000km I have noticed a squeak and rattle on start up, not just at cold start. The timing chain was replaced under warranty in 2010 at 130,000km but how long are they supposed to last... I have heard that the rattle could mean that the chain is stretched but the car sounds fine when idling and I haven't noticed any lack in power.
