Looks like the unnecessary Sensotronic braking system MB has employed on the E-Class and other models is being recalled due to possible failures in heavy usage. As I've mentioned several times on this board, this is a perfect example of MB's current focus in the wrong area. Instead of keeping their primary focus where it should be (on build quality), they are rushing to market complex automated systems that attempt to fix what isn't broken, such as with the new braking system. Perhaps in a few years this system will be a benefit, but certainly not yet.

On a positive note, I hear MB is eliminating many elcectronic compenents from the E-Class that they now admit do nothing except enhance complexity and increase the risk of problems.

I hope this line of thinking trickles down to the C-Class as well, so I next generation C I can forgo the "automatic sunroof closing in a tunnel feature" for "ratlle free interior" option.

i like the tunnel mode feature. i dont think thats too complex. its not like an advanced braking system.
