Testing Flap Positioning motor
Hi there,
Resulting from a diagnostic test showing 3 faulty motors:
M2/7 - Right blend air flap positioning motor
M2/9 - Right defroster flap positioning motor
M2/11 - Right footwell flap positioning motor
I can however only hear one clicking.
They removed all 3 but since the dash is out, it is difficult to test which one is faulty.
Is there a way to test them outside - maybe if I knew which pins are for power and what the others are for I can apply power
Thanks

It's like 16 hours of labor. Just Replace ALL the motors and flaps. Ive got one out. Blows on the floor constantly. My feet freeze in the summer and cook in the winter. But better than having to take the entire dashboard apart. And if I did I would replace them all.

Hi all,
The guys are busy replacing my Evaporator, so the whole dashboard needed to come out for that anyway. Best time to attend to it.
Is there a way to adjust the flaps to somewhere in the middle and then to remove power from it permanently? Just wondering.
Thanks

You drive a C320. That car has 10(!) of those things. Plan accordingly.
Anyone know if they actually improved these motors over the years, or if the 2018 ones are the same as say the 2002 ones?

Maybe. Me, I'd go for it. Replace all the motors and flaps "while yer in there".
