Question Price for 2004 C230K SS with 2005s out?

Have incentives continued for the 2004s left after Memorial Day? My local dealer has two Alabaster/Ash 2004s with the sunroof package, 6 disc in glovebox, and manual. What would be a good price to offer for this car? And what about a offering price for a similarly equipped 2005.

If given a similarly equipped 2005, which would you choose? The 2004 should be a bargain by comparison and scheduled maintenance is still included. Logically, the 2004 makes more sense, but the 2005s interior and exterior tweaks are very nice. Plus its gas mileage is a bit better on the highway.

There is a $2250 dealer incentive that they receive when you buy the car. Insist on at least $5000 off sticker and pick up a c spot coupon for $1500 more off. That's exactly what I did a couple of weeks ago.

One more recommendation, have your dealer search for a car with xenon lights as it will keep the car more current looking. My dealer had a car from 5 hours away flatbedded to me with the exact options and color I wanted for $6500 total off sticker.

There are many 2004.5 C230 sedans available in So FL and the dealers are willing to deal at this price point. Email me for more info if you'd like.

Thank you.

Now my decision is even tougher knowing that incentives and the particular combination I want still exist. $6.5k off the sticker is a great bargain! Emotion says buy the 2005 as I find the gauges, interior, and exterior styling changes really enhance an already fine car. But logically the deal on a 2004.5 is way better and I find it's interior and trim quite nice.

Mystique of driving a benz...

Happy with my 04 Nissan Murano, but she will let me borrow hers..

emotion>logic

do it when your buying a car trust me. There is a lot of stuff in life that you use logic. but use emotion when your buying your car. if you wanna be a logical you dont need a benz in the first place, logic says get a honda accord and invest your money. obviously dont let your emotions make you bankrupt and get severely in dept purchasing an SL55 AMG. but do get exactly what you want. if you want the 05, then by all means the the 05. you will be much happier in the long run. my 02.

The cars are very similar so the $3000-4000 price differential may be enough to sway you one way or another. Figure out your budget based on logic and not emotion. Emotion will tell you what car you like while logic can tell you which you can afford. Emotion can cause you to negotiate against yourself. Always be able to walk away without the car if the deal is not right. We are talking about mass produced cars, not rare collectibles. Don't let the car salesman know you're hooked on the car or else he will have the upper hand.

Life is too short...

Could have waited for mid life crisis but what the heck.... get it over with and enjoy what now what we had looked forward to for the future.

It is a good feeling to be driving in a new benz...
