Transmission/kickdown problems c220cdi 2006
Hello guys. I own a W203 220cdi Avantgarde, made in 2006, made in Europe for the European market.
I have a problem that's been bothering me for a few days now. The thing is, when I put the car under pressure, when I'm going uphill and press the throttle a little bit harder or when I press kickdown, the car will downshift and then the revs will go up until some 3500rpm and won't upshift.
If I depress the pedal or move the transmission lever right, sometimes it will upshift or I have to slow down.
After that, limp mode will come on.
My dad is an old school mechanic, but lives in another city and, due to work, I didn't have time to go visit him a check this out. I did, however connect the car to diagnostics, and it did throw out a couple of codes. After erasing them and scanning again, they were gone, and the car operated normally for a few days.
I didn't have the diagnostics with me to connect it again and see whether it will throw codes out again.
Does anybody know what might be the problem? The car has about 160k kilometers under its wheels. I hope it's not something that will cost me an arm and a leg.
Thank you lot in advance.
