It all depends on how the design was done to the car. My last Audi A6 has the un-gloss REAL wood finish and they are very nicely blended with brush (real)alum and rest of black leather and plastic interiror.

Good looking car Brian. She's lucky she had you to go thru the grinder with her and run interference with the Sales people. Nothing is better than having a knowledgeable person with you who is not emotionally involved with the choice.

I think you did good!

Just got back from a month in Australia. Not many MB's on the road there. Mostly C240 and 230k. The cost is out of sight for the MB. I was told that an E500 has a price of over $120k US.

I didn't confirm that but I heard it more than once.

Actually there is a piece of plastic on top of the really thin piece of wood. It would never look almost fake if it wasn't for the piece of plastic layer on top.

$120K is absurd for a w211 but I hear stuff like that all the time over there. Good to see you're back, haven't hear from you for a while.

According to MB's website for Australia, the E500 Elegance lists for 155,900 which in US Dollars is $109,397. The E500 Avantgarde lists for 157,900 which in US Dollars is $110,801.

C240

The C240 is smooth and quiet - as someone just put it, it is definitely geared toward comfort and luxury rather than sportiness.

Plus, you can't get AWD with the 230K, which is a must for me in the Northeast.

C320 Coupe
Congradulations on the C240. The only person your sis has to please is herself. That's why MB sells a sport and non-sport. Personnally, I don't like the new aluminum trim. The old patterned trim was much nicer. Other than that, the 05's are very nice. I like the new head unit and center switches. The seats are nicer as well, but not sure how they will do on an autocross track.
