Introduction & Request

Hello everyone....

Long time lurker, first time poster. Name's Sal, and I live in NJ. I've been looking at the c240/C230K sedans for a few months now. I’m actually taking my first test drive in an 05 tomorrow afternoon. Can’t wait!

I was wondering if anybody had any nice sized resolution shots of the interior? Instrument cluster, and temp/radio area in particular. I am not looking for the NAV package, so I was wondering with the 05, are the radios standard size so I can put my aftermarket MP3 Player in? For some reason, the MBusa website doesn’t supply any clean interior pics of the new 05's.

One more question...and I know its been asked a million times before. If anybody has an extra C-Spot coupon, you would make a guy in Jersey VERY happy Of course I'd be willing to reciprocate the favor.

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to getting more involved with the forum.

-Sal

i havent noticed any differences from the C-Spot in the front area of the coupe and sport sedan. the center console, dash and steering wheel look/are the same for the coupe and sport sedan as far as i know.

It's gonna be the one in the last pic. The one in the 1st and 2nd pic is climatronic, which is optional.

I recommend Ray Catena in Central Jersey, My salesman was Marc A. (his last name escapes me at the moment), we had a great buying experience and their service department is top notch! There is another MB dealer thats closer to me but it's worth the few extra miles.
Good Luck. Jkw

I've heard just the opposite, I've had good experiences with David Michael, and the father of a friend of mine walked out on Catena because of their professionalism. And he wasn't just bustin' ***** the guy was looking to buy a CLK500 Cabrio.

Check Cantena first, then go to DM, they give you a better deal.

Thanks for the responses. I live near the Jersey Shore, so my first stop is going to be Contemporary. After that, David Michael, then Ray Catena.

Anybody hear anything good/bad about Contemporary?

Thanks again.

PS - Does anybody know if the non-nav radio is standard size? I would really like to swap it out with my current aftermarket stereo if possible.

no it isnt standard size. it is a duel din set up and it is going to be a little wider than a standard radio as well. if you put in an after market radio you will have aluminum trim missing on the sides of the radio where the radio will normally sit.

Contemporary should be OK, considering the area they are located in, but the customers they usually deal with probably don't negotiate too much. Contemp. is a Maybach dealer as well!! DM might be willing to neg. more.

Also for what its worth. DM has Saturday service; Contemp. does not.

I went to DM a few times when I was looking for an '04 & six months later when I was ready to buy a '04.5, both time I had bad experiences with the salesman and I couldn't get a good deal on the price.
My salesman @ Ray Catena was Marc Apiarian and I would recommend him.
I don't believe you'll beat RC on price.
The bottom line is, which place works best for you.
