Proper Tire Sizes For New Rims?
Hi MBWorld,
I have a 2006 C350 4MATIC that I'm looking to get new rims and tires for. The rims I'm looking at are 18x8.5 for the front, and 18x9.5 for the rear. They both have a 35mm offset.
Question #1: Is it bad to use rims with different widths (8.5 front vs 9.5 rear) on a 4matic system?
Question #2: What tire sizes would be ideal for this setup? Can I use the same size tire all around or must the rears be different?
I also plan on changing my suspension to the KW Street Comfort coilovers at some time in the future. Will there be any issues with these bigger wheels? Thanks so much for anybody who helps.

The width doesn't matter. The front and rear tire circumference must match exactly or you will kill the trasfer case. That's why MB never put staggered tires on 4matic cars.
