Thanks for your reply Richard. Still don' t get it though... It's a big issue putting in the wireing (any kind of wireing) afterwards, right? But it's not that hard to modify the Audio 10 pre-wireing (wich I have in my car) to support COMAND? Am I getting it all right?
Thanks again!

The problem is, if you need to install the GPS aerial wiring (or the CD player wiring, or the TV tuner wiring for us Europeans), you need to dismantle large amounts of the car. For instance , on a CLK (and therefore similar on any Coupe), the aerial wiring (if run properly), means
removing centre console
removing one side front kick panel
removing one side front carpet
removing door sill trim
removing one side rear side trim
removing both side A pillar and C pillar trims
removing rear seat bench and surrounds
removing head-lining at rear
You can get away without removing the centre console, but then you have to remove the under-dash trim on that side and probably need a aerial lead that is longer than the "official part from MB"

Thanks again for yet another informative reply! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Puh, it seems to me that it takes a lot of effort to get the nav-thing to work. It would have been nice to have it though, and I do regret I didn't order it from factory. I just don't dare tear my interior apart in order to install the GPS-wiring :o
