C230 kompressor coupe m111 boost pipe seal wont seat
I removed my silencer and reassebled everything, all was well. Put my new pulley on, blew the pipe off from supercharger to the intercooler. Realized it must not have seated or clipped securely, get it back apart... The seal seemed stretched out and didnt want to sit down in the groove to be reassmbled, so I assumed I had botched it going together last time and orderd a new seal. New seal shows up and is exact same size so old one wasnt stretched. I cannot get the seal to sit down in the lip of the pipe end to reconnect it to the supercharger outlet. The seal catches and drags down out of the groove every time. I try just letting the end of the pipe slip up then pressing the seal up in around the entire lip of the pipe (all in 1/2" of space in each direction) all to no avail. The seal/gasket will seeming not go back up in there supercharger outlet for me to clip in place and has 1/2" or so of material that will bunch up to one side and get hung up.
Is there some simple solution I am missing here? I'm getting incredibly fed up messing with this idiotic little pipe fitting/seal and want my boost back. Help please!

So regarding yesterdays short response, yes, just put a little oil on it, or even spit in a pinch.
It's a bit of a pain, and it's good you bought a new one, but yes without lubrication it will get stuck and leak.

You are talking about the strange wire clip connector and that x-ring ?
Is it black or green? The black is not oil proof and will swell over time. Had the same problem, you must buy a new one they are green now.
