Thumping sound changed to grinding sound
I could hear a thumping sound from my car but could never figure out what it was until it changed one night after a long time to a now grinding sound coming from my right rear wheel area. I
thought it was my left wheel bearing, so I took it taken off and replace. It did need changing but after replacing it, I'm still hearing the grinding sound coming from that area. I'm now thinking it could be the axle joint. So I'm thinking about by a new unit and replacing it. I can't think of anything else that would be making noise on my 17-year-old 2001 e320 Mercedes.
