New 230K owner....have some questions...help!
Hello All,
I am new to the MB family having driven Audi/BMW all my life...so I have a few questions.
1. Did I get a good deal? Be nice!

Bought for 29K about 3 months ago....
No...I did not know about the 1500 c-spot rebate
Not too worried about the 05's since no maintenance is included and the changes I do not think are that big (its not a complete redesign)...

How do they expect to stay competetive with the Beemers w/o the maintenance? bad move by MB
3. Is there a chip upgrade for c230k? like with audi/vw?
4. Is there aftermarket lighting packages anyone would recommend...xenon/hid/halogen....what are my options? prices?
5. Any recommended sites for aftermarket parts?

First. welcome and congrats for the car.
#4. There is a Bixenon upgrade you can do. Contact Steve (his user name is MBenzNL). Many people got the bixenon from him.
#5. For aftermarket parts, you can contact the sponsor of this forums, such as Harris, etc.

3. Is there a chip upgrade for c230k? like with audi/vw? not that i know of. i had my car looked at for a chip, but they couldnt remove the ECU w/out some special tool which i was told only MB had. the ECU was attached wierd and i gave up.

i say get the BIX lights. they are well worth it. i bought mine from the factory with auto level and headlight washers, but every retrofit looks alot better than halogens, plus i think they look better than aftermarket HID's.
