The LORINSER roof wing comes in 2 versions for the C320/230 Coupes :
those with roof antenna, & those without.
In the placement of the LORINSER Roof Wing, has anyone had problems, when the hatchback opens ?
apparently if not set properly, the forward edge of the roof wing will hit the roof or pan window. It's a matter of 1 or 2 mm
but nevertheless it will not allow your hatchback from opening more than 1/4 of the way up.
Moving the roof wing back 1 or 2 mm may not sound too bad, but it sure does look funny, as if you misaligned it with the rear window.
Seems to me a LORINSER design fault.
Anyone having same problem or know what I'm talking about, please let me know. Thanks.

i can see how that can be a problem. when i placed my XM antenna i had to place it back some so that when i opened the hatch it didnt get wedged in between the roof and the hatch. this was also a matter of mm, so i plyed with scotch tape until i get it just where i wanted it. you may consider doing this same, playing with the placement before attaching the 3M tape, if you havent already installed the roof wing.

Thanks for the advice. Used the scotch-tape method (lots of it) to place the wing in just the right position. It did need to go down quite a bit to ensure it didn't get wedged when the back opened up.
Had it professionally installed at EVOSPORT in H.B. Those guys are awesome. No 3-M tape either, this puppy was industrially glued on and not coming off !!
Now, it just looks darn GREAT !!
