Got Wis Finally
I finally managed to get a set of the 2003 WIS workstation software that mercedes uses. I don't have the pay 18 bucks everytime at www.startekinfo.com now. WHOOOO HOOOOOOO

I had the hardest of time installing this thing on my PC, got it off E-mule, took a couple days/week but managed to get it all... go on emule if you want it, just do a search for WIS and it will come up

Installation is pretty simple, especially if you have a DVD version.
However, activation requires a valid key. If you have a keygen or ... a crack?! ... then it might be easier, but about those things I would not know.

unfortunatly I was not able to get the DVD version but have the cd version with the 2003 update and I also have the key that works. Installation requires 2 cd rom drives so I have to get a USB drive for my laptop.

Is this the DAS Star Diagnostic software and the dongle that lets you connect up to change options? Do you now if a PC to OBD-2 scanner cable will work? Where did you find it (Kazaa, eMule...)?

Just download emule, it's freeware/shareware similar to Kazaa that lets you share files with the community. Be prepared to wait a long time to download close to 3 GB and it may not work. This may exceed the acceptable use policy of your ISP as to how much you can download, for me that's 2GB per day.
