continuous camshaft adjustment error after 2 years of solenoid replacement
Hello everyone,
i have a 2007 C230 sport, engine number: 272 920 30 60 2712
2 years ago a check engine light showed up, and i received 2 error codes P0012 and P0015
after reading some threads on this forum
i replaced all 4 magnets with brand new ones from MB authorized dealer, part number: A 272 051 01 77
today i had a check engine light again, error codes are P0012 and P0021 right and left intake camshaft
i am really confused since this is not supposed to happen again!!!
any suggestions please?

I'm fighting similar codes also
Just replaced 4 Cam magnets, 4 Position sensors, and Crankshaft position sensor.
Most cleared and have gone, now getting P0021 and P0024 , similar.

Update:
i have installed new Magnets, and the check engine light is gone, problem solved.
apparently these magnets need to be changed every few years.
so if anyone's experiencing a similar problem with a check engine light and the following codes corresponding to camshaft magnets, even though you have previously installed new ones, they are failing and again you need to install new ones.

Hello,
Seems to me that mercedes must be aware that they have some big issues with the magnets on the M272 and M273 engines.
Surely they would have come up with a TSB by now for solving this issue permanently
Why is it always P0015?
Lots of revenue for the mercedes repair shops though, $30 plus an item plus labor.
I had mine CLK350 done under recall oil leaking at the magnet
But still get P0015 occasionally?
Just clear it and its good for another hundred miles or so, most annoying?
There is an already an upgraded [iss2] version of the magnet, however that couLd have been for the oil leaking out?
When ordering new ones its good to check the part # for Iss 2 version. Could be large supply of the old ones out there
old# 272.05.100.77, new# 272.05.101.77

Any thoughts on this?
