SL Wheels for C Coupe?
Hi,
I am just wondering if the new SL's stock wheel (the one that look like a plane's turbine..multi-spoke...watever u call it..i know u guys understand me) will fit the c-coupe??
Since i am living in San Francisco, many ppl here just like to change wheels...i am just wondering if i can lay my hands on a 2nd hand SL wheel...that will be fantastic.....

The new SL has huge brakes. I think the wheels are 19" but I'm not sure. The bolt patter will fit, but I don't think they will have correct offsets.

Hi
You mean the European standard SL55 wheel, which is option (free) on the US SL55
They are 18" not 19" - AMG say the 19" wheel ends up tramlining under load, and the 18" behave better on the SL55
I beleive the wheels are the same as the 5 spoke AMG alloys for the SL, so if you look at www.mercedes-benz.de, click on PKW on the left hand side, then on the SL picture, and look on the left hand side theres a pricelist option, click that, then you can dowload the SL pricelist, it describes the size and the offset of the wheels nicely
Cheers

If it doesn't fit perfectly on the C Coupe because of the offset,
A spacer from H&R should eliminate the problem.
They cost about 50-150 a pair depending on size.
Autowerkexpress.com also has their version(10mm) for 99
Although many are against the spacers, IMO they wont harm your car enough to worry. If it gets the wheels on your car, y not?
Good luck on your search
Big Bookie huh
