I get really erked when I see a 2004.5 rollup with the 4 piston calipers and cross drilled rotors roll up.. Especially since my car is a 2004 I was literally 2 months off!

Well what better way to go than the C32 brake kit, its bigger and better!!! For less cash too! I cant believe brembo is selling the kit for like $3k. Ridiculous.

how much will it cost to ship to boston. I have to factor that into the cost. 620 is a great deal but if it is 150 to ship them because they are soo heavy, it wouldn't be a good deal for me. Let me know.

hi, i'd like to just get a rough estimate for the total costs for this amg brake mod. if anyone knows the answers/corrections to the list of costs necessary below, please update them. thanks!

1. AMG brake kit: $620 + shipping + 3% credit card charge

2. Installation: $90-$150 (i'm sure this varies)

3. Additional parts: (any nuts/buts, brake lines, etc. necessary?)

before i get harrassed for a low installation quote, id like to state that my $90 quote for installation was from a friend who owns a repair shop, not a Mercedes dealership. i dont know about additional parts or brake lines. if you wanted the metal wire wrapped looking lines you can buy them extra, but from what i understand the kit includes everything you need for installation.

The way I see it, You and I are going to need new Brakes sooner or later. Judging by the way mine are wearing that means pads & rotors - about what........ $200US???.

My C32 units (when I get them) will be remaining in the garage till it time to change these brakes out - probably in about another 5000 to 10000 miles.

Soooo....do it that way you get back a couple of hundred bucks or so.

true. ive thought about doing it that, and im sure some will. i wont have the patience myself knowing these sic *** AMG brakes are sitting on my garage floor rather than on my car so ill install them. but that is a great way of thinking about it. from what ive heard people are getting quoted for just pads, seems to me they would be saving a bit more money when new brakes are in order.

If machined properly, rotors last quite a long time. Reality is that the amg brakes look pretty. I wouldn't however compare these to the big boy brembo brakes. Evosports price is really fair and if you are looking to achieve that big brake look, just go for it. No need to tell yourself you are saving money etc. Buy it and enjoy it! In terms of loving the look, you can't go wrong . I haven't had time to have my suspension installed still (Going on 3 months still ) so that is main reason I am not picking up a set. These brakes would really fill in the gap in my 18's and they would look pretty.
FYI: Don't forget that shipping is a bit expensive due to fact the items weigh a lot.

You do know the AMG brakes are made by Brembo right?
Im pretty sure these are the largest brakes you can fir on the car too so, yeah it is a GREAT buy!

looking for the effective stopping power and look of a big brake kit with the AMG brakes. i think this price is not only fair, but great.

Yes they are made by brembo but you are misleading people by making it sound like they are the exact same brakes. You CANNOT compare them to the 3000 dollar kit brembo makes. Someone correct me if I am wrong but you are not getting same thing. This has been discussed here before . Anyways... I am not here to flame you, but just because you want the brakes doesn't mean someone should end up being misled. There will be 10 people for the group buy within one week, no doubt and everyone will LOVE them. Like I said before, if I had time to have stuff installed in the first place I would be on this group buy like white on rice.

I do have the AMG brake upgrade [Evosport group buy], and I feel it was one of the best upgrades I've done for the money. I drive my car very hard at times; and with the stockers, I'd feel fade after 2 hard braking cycles from high speed [95mph]. After getting the upgrade, Ive yet to invoke fade...oh yeah, and they look great too!

anyone know what type of brake fluid is in the lines presently, i want to take a bottle with me to my installer and dont want a mixture going on..

ive experienced brake fade just a couple time in my coupe, and am eager to rid myself of it with these brakes. not only are the sweet to look at but effective. just one more bang for your buck mod!
